Lauren Lewis, a recent graduate of Prosper High in Texas and a University of Texas signee, contributed to the United States winning a gold medal in the women's 4x400-meter relay in 3:30.25 at the Pan American U20 Championships at Jose A. Figueroa Freire Stadium in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Lewis, who was joined on the 4x400 relay by USC's Christine Mallard, future Trojan and Heritage High of Virginia graduate Madison Whyte and Boston College's Sydney Segalla, helped the Americans capture their 10th consecutive gold medal in the event. Lewis also secured a silver medal for the U.S. in the women's 400-meter final by clocking 52.06.
